Now here is the place where opinions diverge, I hate the 1.0 installs, particularly with the solder in the lpc. I mean once you know what you will have to do first to get it ready it's cool, but for the average person who gets a chip and thinks" Whoo Hoo, drop it in and done!!" it's probably the hardest 1st time install. 1.2 to 1.3 I have seem quite a few LPC's that have a slight downward bow in the center of the LPC and can be a pain without the rivets. Give me a 1.4 anyday. 5 minutes tops, well 10 if you count open and close time.
What would be cool is those little tapered pins that are notched, on the bottom of the adapter, you could just add a little more pressure each time until you have the perfect fit. Although those usually have to be mushed to take them out, but if they gave you spares and made them removable like the pinheader, coolness.
