I tested #9 on the LPC and grounded the other line and I get a quick beep. (continuity) Is #9 supposed to just give off a quick beep? (but i get a reading after that on the meter, just no sound)
When I test #2 on the chip to the hook I get nothing but I am sure that is nothing to be conserned about. (WIth chip off mobo) I just thought I'd mention it.
It seems that #2 could be the problem. This particular hole has the solder down about 1/4 of the way. I don't believe that the prong (I don't know what to call it) is not getting contact when placed on the Mobo. It is possible.
I have a friend of mine coming over tonight (Electronics guy but not a gamer) to look at the continuity stuff and to see what other issues could be causing this. All I do is tell him what it is supposed to do.
Maybe #2 needs that Xacto you mentioned. (?)
Is it sensible to "remove" the solder from any of these holes and stick in the rivets? (Mainly #2 & #9)
On my Xbox (v1.1) all I did was use 3 rivets in #'s 1, 2 and 9 I think) I followed the directions but don't remember which ones they were off hand. It could have been 14, & 15, not sure)
Thanks again.
