Default is off.  If it is red, then there is a d0 or LPC problem.  If it boots properly it will flash red then go green for ~1second, then turn off at the XOS.

It sounds like you need to check your recovery switch on the chip and make sure it is in the right position (black mark covered).

Red is a problem, no LED means the chip is not getting power, green means the chip is working, and white/bright blue usually means a fried chip. If you have OS 2.3.0 then the L:ED will go off and switch to the LED file you have chosen upon entering the OS.

ok, went over my pin header solders again, it looks quite good.  still fragging.  it is much better than other solder jobs i have done, which worked.  i went with the bottom side D0 wire loom (didnt do the ground because its a 1.4, although as a check i tried it and it made no difference).

unfortunately, on my 1.5 xbox i did a quick solder because they forgot to send the pin header, so i cant swap chips to verify this chip is ok.  i did pin header on my brother's 1.6, i can try this chip in that one though (might take a couple days to get it).

Rabid1,

i saw your post on the other board, it looks like either my chip is bad, or pin 7,8,10 or 11 is not connected well.

i was able to get ahold of my brothers xbox, so I could test my chip.  His is a working 1.6 xenium pin header install.  I put this chip into his, and it fragged.  Then I put his chip into this 1.4, and it booted.  So it is definitely a problem with the chip.  I am surprised, I figured frag was a solder issue, but it is clearly not the case here.

when it's on the 1.4, what happens when you flip the recovery switch.
