Yeah, A Frag
« on: August 19, 2005, 12:18:00 AM »

ok, i've had this box set up for about a year or so by now.  it is a soldered install.  the box hasnt moved.  basically, i was removing a disc, and hit the eject button and power button too fast or something like that.  now i'm fragging.  i havent opened it up yet, but i'll do that tomorrow (its 230am).  but since the box didnt physically move, i cant see my chip moving or my d0 coming undone.  since all i did was just reset too fast or something, what would cause it to frag.

i'm going to check everything tomorrow, chip, d0, pull the chip to see if it boots to retail, flip the reset, all the fun stuff.

just wondering why a quick reset would cause a frag?

again, soldered install, 1.4 box, thompson drive, upgraded hd, cant remember the exact bios but its one of the latest x2's (ie 58xx).

thanks for any info guys.

EDIT:  just making sure it was clear, i'm not asking how to fix it (unless there is a bit of advice other than the "normal" steps i mentioned), i'm more curious as to why it happened.
