Xenium Frag Problem Reproduction Instructions
« on: August 12, 2005, 02:43:00 PM »

I remember awhile back I was following a thread about xeniums chipped xboxes having a frag after prolonged periods of being unplugged. The remedy was to either keep a copy of xenium os on the edrive, and bootup by holding down the eject button. Or to remove and reseat the xenium on the solderless connector. The team xodus guys were saying they couldn't reproduce the problem. I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but I've figured out a way to reproduce the problem each time. I couldn't find the original thread, so that's why I started this one.

I figured this out after one of my badly backed up games got the dirty disc error, and in a hurry I turned my xbox on and off very quickly using the power button. This resulted in the FRAG, which required me to bootup using the eject button. I tried this over and over and each time I ended up with the frag. Sometimes the eject button fix didn't work, and I had to reseat the chip. Hopefully with this info, Team Xodus may be able to engineer a more permanent fix.

btw: I running xbox ver 1.0, with xenium ice solderless, os ver 2.3
