Do you have a Dash? And if so, make sure your BIOS supports that Dash.

How can you be 'pretty sure' you have a dash? You either do or you dont - did you install one or not?

You can get back to the Xenium Os be booting with the eject button, you dont have to re-install the chip each time.

which dash did you install?

I would just put your Xenium into recovery mode, update to the latest version of the Xos, then reflash your hacked bios. From there you can launch the bios with the slayers disk in the drive and format and install your applications and dashboard.

Ok, I just tried to boot up Slayers 2.6 and Auto Installer Deluxe 2, and couldnt get either one to work. I used 2 different DVD-RW's, 2 different CD-RW's, and a DVD-R to no avail. This is so frustrating. Does anybody know of any good deals on pre-modded Xbox's? I really hate to buy one, especially since I bought a Spiderchip, and got this Xenium chip from a friend. I have a version 1.0 Xbox with the crappy Thomson drive.

I was just about to buy a 160GB hard drive, and a samsung drive off Ebay, but since I cant get this chip to work, I would rather just buy a pre-modded Xbox with everything already installed. Any help would be appreciated.

I could not get back into the Xenium Spice O.S. either, no instructions came with my order. I found out by trial and error if one holds down the white button and presses the eject key, you can get it to boot back into Xenium Spice O.S.

Will have to try just pressing the eject button to see if it loads the Xenium, till then.

Darn, No luck. The white button along with the eject button still didnt get me back to the Xenium screen. Oh well. Does anybody know if the pre-modded systems come with the bios already flashed to the chip? Or will I still be stuck in this situation, not knowing how to do this whole bios/dashboard thing?

you have to config your bios to use the dashboard you have installed....
