After a fiasco and alot of headache with a defective chip, I finally got a new chip installed today and it worked on my first attempt. Now the problem I have is that if I select the retail kernel from the launch menu while a game is in the dvd drive, I get a blank screen. I installed an xecuter bios and an evox dash with no problem and if I select the x2 bios it loads whether there is a game in the drive or not and I can play backups fine. When I select retail bios, if there is no game in the drive, it goes to the ms dash, but with a game in the drive, I get a blank screen. Also, after getting the blank screen with a game in there, if I press eject, the xbox just flashes green a few times and doesn't eject. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks:)
