I had the same problem on my ICE install yesterday, but I just have the U.S.A. and not the S.P. adapter. Once I took the U.S.A. out and spent a little more time in getting it aligned the Xenium OS came up exactly as it should.

I also have this problem at the moment, I will post back later when I have attempted a reconfiguration of chip and adapter placement.

Have you tried turning recovery mode on yet with the switch on the chip?

Just put the chip into recovery mode and this booted me to MS dash when i powered on. I've been trying everything and the chip is still:

Cycling through Red - Yellow - Green and staying on Green.

No Display on the TV.

Fan spins, everything starts moving but no display.

Help Please! smile.gif

I have treid moving the adapter about and ensuring each time the chip is mounted in the correct place. It should be mounted with the base of the mount of the chip with the base of the connectors on the adapter. The top connector on the adapter isn't used since thats for the 1.6 adapter.

I don't understand why it won't boot to the OS or open the tray. After attempting to open the tray the circle light on front of the xbox goes orange.

This seems to be a common problem with solderless kits, getting the alignment correct with certain "pins".
What can be done (with the help of a multimeter on standby) to make sure it stays down on the pins once finally installed? As this may be the solution to the problem?
Also (from above) what does Orange XB power symbol mean (in terms of faultfinding)?

I assume that if i am to use a multimeter then i use a voltage test and test each of the pins on the solderless adapter while the xbox is switched on and the chip is not on it.

OK, multimeter used the i have tested the lpc points all found to be at correct voltages. When i put the solderless adapter on though i get no voltage readings on the pins of it when the xbox is switched on. I wonder if that is the problem. The adapter is obviosuly broke or not maknig contact. I can;t see why it will not be making contact i have tried many times to ensure that it is touching.

once again do you connect xbox to TV by standart video cable or Hi-Definition?
If you are using Hi-def, try connect by standart (composite) and check what happens.

Check standart cable. Maybe this scart adapter is the problem. If you have modded xbox not means that you friends will be responding this same way. Do you have this same model (1.6 or others). Iven if you have this same not means that everything suppose work like in your case (this same is with computers, basicly XBOX is the coputer running on Celeron processor)
Did you check Xenium chip that is not FAKE?
