Wassup Guys and Gals?

First off, I would like to say that you all are great.  I have answered all my xbox questions through this site.  I have never had the need to post a question on this site, just because I have been able to find it answered already.  However, I have scoured the database and have found no solution my problem at hand.  So, here we go...

I have a 1.4 Xbox with Xenium ICE Solderless installed.  One day when I booted up my xbox into the xenium menu, then onto the flashed bios I saw the black screen of death (not error screen) along with a flashing red xbox light.  Now, I don't know how it happened, as my brother also uses the xbox (I think it was something he did).

I have noticed on the Eeprom settings page it said invalid eeprom.  So I decided to choose the "restore eeprom" option.  So it went ahead and restored my eeprom with the 1.0 version.  Needless to say, it still has the same functionality as before.

All I can do is access the Xenium menu screen.  I am not able to progress beyond that.  So I downloaded the Flashbios x3, whatever that is.  Am I going in the right direction? If so, how do I use flashbios x3?  I tried to burn its entire contents onto a dvd-r, but that didn't work.

If not flashbios x3, then what shall I do to fix this error.

P.S. I did log on to Xbox Live with the modded xbox two months before the error, if this has anything to do with it.

Thank you all for your help, will be checking this post eagerly awaiting your replies.

Good luck.
I had a similar issue on a 1.0 softmodded box. but i lost video and eeprom so i am still trying to restore. in the mean time I pick up a Xenium ice chip but it did not help the 1.0.
then i purchase a used (broken) 1.4 xbox installed the chip loaded a bios (since i could not do it with the 1.0) un installed and reinstalled into the 1.0, NOOOO luck. so i stuck it back into the 1.4 swaped the dvd drive and now im in  the process of backup up the 1.4 HDD which im having problem doing because i cant see the folders.

any way good luck on ur project. My next option for the 1.0 is to try the 3-wire trick to reload the oringal epprom into the TSOP. but that will be in a while.

Uhh, i dont know exactly what the 2nd poster means. On the xbox there is the eeprom chip and the tsop chip. The TSOP chip [v1.0 to 1.5] contains the bios whilst the eeprom chip [v1.0 to 1.6b] contains the eeprom.

You can download the legal flash eeprom bios Here thanks to LLaMMa

Read the tutorial on how to use this great little bios. You will need a copy of a xbox eeprom to use this utility, msg me if you want 1, it is a working eeprom and will work on live, and im not selling it just helping =)

EDIT: The bios i linked to fixes the eeprom by patching it with an existing eeprom, you will have to change to a new bank in order to overwrite this bios as it has no flash bios utility installed in itself

KyesaRRi knows the deal. Download the bios and flash it to ur xenium. Its simple, i have one and know what its like. Then if u get a working eeprom (obviously urs is dead) you can use that bios im guessing to flash the eeprom and fix it.

But before you do that, i think the xenium OS may have a flash eeprom function in it. You'll just have to transfer one over with the ftp, or by some other means then flash it and pray that it works.

Good luck!
