Problem Installing Spice Adapter

I can solder, pretty well, in my opinion. I still bought the xapt3r though. It made it that much easier. But I do have a v1.4 so it was really easy!

22:09 <@Artifex> eeek, oh gno, lacquer over vias!! whatever will we
                 doooo!!!!???!!?!?!?!?
22:09 <@Artifex> oh, and i found a new version... 1.8! it's just like a 1.4
                 only with lacquer over vias!
22:10 <@Artifex> and then there's the 1.9... which is a 1.3... only... with...
                 LACQUER!!!  (OH NO!)
22:10 <@Artifex> and dont forget the 1.10.... much like a 1.2... but...
22:11 <@Artifex> oh, and then there's the 1.11... just like the 1.1... i'll
let you guess the difference!  (MD5s soon to come!!!!)
22:11 <@Artifex> 1.11.... 1.1.... that could get confusing
22:11 <@Artifex> and what if there's lacquer in some of the vias, but not
                 others?
22:11 <@Artifex> let's make a new version for every version/lacquered-via
                 combination possible...
22:12 <@Artifex> because, you know, things arn't ridiculous enough yet....
22:12 <@Artifex> </rant>
22:12 <@Artifex> <serious note>
22:13 <@Artifex> just a bit of advice to anyone out there who ever decides to
                 sell things...
22:13 <@Artifex> when sales start to drop, find some REAL way to make your
product look better... instead of just inventing silliness...
22:14 <@Artifex> otherwise, you might end up with a bit of egg on your face.
                 :-)
22:14 <@Artifex> </serious>

For anyone who thinks they have a 1.5, go recheck and see you don't.

Indeed, 1.5s don't exist.

Yeah, I'm with you 2121oyoy.. I do hope that modchip makers create a solution for the soldermask filled vias, but I sure as hell don't hope they call it a "1.7 solution". ...The last thing we need is a repeat of the "1.5."

I really think that people should just learn how to solder, I mean, by the time you pay for the solderless adaptor you could have bought a cheap soldeiring iron and had the thing installed.  Really, If you cant solder, should you even be opening your Xbox?

I can solder quite well, thanks. I used the SP so that I could use it on my old semi-broken 1.0 box before putting it in my 1.6. Plus I'm too lazy to do the LPC rebuild and all
