Uhm, you could always burn the skins to a disc and use a filemanager to copy the files to the correct place on the hard drive.. I'd get ftp working though, it'd make your life much easier

i used the slayers disk on my xbox and i did a full install, but it didn't do a full install. I tried it several times, so i don't have any file managers. I only have dvd2xbox.

dvd2xbox might have a filemanager built in, I can't remember.. In any case, it is honestly in your best interest to get FTP working. How are you connecting your xbox to your PC? If it's directly connected, are you using a crossover cable an a static IP? If it's going through a router, are you using a dynamic IP (DHCP) and a patch cord? Do you know what the xbox's IP is?

Unplug the modem and plug the crossover cable into your PC and your xbox.

ok i pluged my crossover cable into the back of the xbox and into my computer's ethernet port. Is this the correct way to do it? I am using FlashFXP. It gets connected and after about 2 mins it then says connection failed(connection timed out). what is wrong?
?

ok after some searching what i have is a cat 5 patch cable. Is this not the correct cable to use. If not can't you just switch some wires?
