Help With Xenium Os Update
« on: April 17, 2005, 12:10:00 PM »

I have been reading some more and found a thread that talked about creating dummy files for the OS udpdate, so I'm going to try that and see if that is my problem.

No change.  I created a 500 MB dummy file and the OS upgrade still does not occur.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

mad.gif If anyone has a suggestion it would be welcomed.  Better yet, for anyone who has completed a OS update, please give me step by step how you did it.  Include what files you placed on your DVD or CD; I want to know if looking at the left side of the Nero screen what I should see.  Thanks in advance.

This update can't be this difficult, so what am I missing????

dangerously_cheesy hasn't been active on the boards in a few months, so it's not likely that he'll be emailing you.  Just use the guide he posted in his thread here:

Well i got it to work no problem by burning a DVD+R... for some reason i guess my box was having a problem reading my imation CD-RW's.  First try read the dvd and xbox powered off.  I didn't unlock the drive when i was trying to do the hd update.  Probably would have worked.

Thanks for all the help,
Mike
