The currently shipping version of the SP will only work with the ICE...he says that versions for other chips will be coming out shortly...

Strange how people seem to be avoiding the word... NO

NO it will not work with the Xecuter 3CE.

They clearly misled people with their original posts. Intentionally or not. Only now, weeks later are they clarifying that the real answer is NO.

Strangely, only about 6 posts into the original thread, people are already talking about it being compatible with X3ce and no one points out the truth. In fact Artifex replies only a few posts later (to say it will work with X2.6ce) yet fails to mention the truth.  In fact the thread is still misleading because it still says it will work with any 4th gen chip.  If you post a pic of a product and post claims with that picture people will assume (and rightly so) that the product pictured will live up to those claims. Nowhere does it say, this version only for ICE, other versions coming later.

Pretty disappointing advertising.

do your self a favor and solder it in you'll be better off in the long run itll be alot more reliable. IF your not comfortable with soldering pay someone to do it. After buying the solderless adaptor, it'd be alittle bit more to have it soldered but it'd be alot more reliable

A simply mod can be done to make it work with a X3, but requires soldering skills, solder removal and adding 3 pin headers on side if pin header in white pcb, and adding same 3 pin headers to xbox as well.

I have currently remove pogo pin #6 and have 1 wire running for 5V power with success on other chip.  One wire is better then 5.

You will also have to add several more pins to get full functionality, and in reality if you can do that you can install it fully soldered with ease.
