Problem is, without using the plastic guide it seems impossible to align the wires. The video and all the guides assume you are using the guide. Has anyone managed to get this to work w/o the guide?

LMAO the problems begin!  The plastic piece seems to be only needed if you are using it on a 1.6.  If your not using a 1.6, then there is no need for that whole piece, just use the lower part.

Artifex: Not sure if i received different model but X-Chip will not fit ( too close to case edge) .  Did you try yourselves with X-Chip or assumed would work. It is a longer board then others.

**SIGH**

The plastic guide and white pcb are only for 1.6 boxes.  On 1.0-1.4 you only need to use the bottom black peice.

And, please, let me re-iterate, the adapter which is shipped with the SPICE package is configured for the Xenium ICE only.  Additional configurations for the x3, xchip, etc will be available shortly.

anyone with no patience mailed divineo.co.uk and knows when they are going to ship ? smile.gif

i figured most things out how to install and bladibla.. just download the iceguide from www.teamxodus.com. It tells you where to find hdd's you can use, what bios will work on the v1.6 xbox's (in my case) and everything you need to know after you plugged your ice chip in! It does help when people say you must read stuff!

The awnser is on the internet. No doubt.

What about the SP Adapter that is shipping without the SPICE package?  It is being advertised and sold as (and as you previously stated) a solderless solution for all modern chips.

Let me say it again...

The SP adapter itself is designed to be flexible enough to work with all chips.

The SP adapter which ships with the SPICE is configured to be solderless with the ICE it ships with.

The adapter can be reconfigured during assembly at factory for other chips.  Currently, the only configuration being shipped is the SPICE (Xenium ICE compatible) configuration.  The X3/Xchip/Smartxx configurations have additional pogos, alt-5v attachment, etc... as necessary.  These configurations will be available soon.

I noticed that on Divineo's page, the text describing the SP is incorrect, and does not mention this fact.  We will contact divineo and ask them to update the description accordingly.

You have to wait until xodus decides to release them.

I think a 1.0-1.4 guide would be a good idea too.

alright i might be missing this somewhere.. but whats the difference between the SPICE and the ICE solderless? does the SPICE only benefit the 1.6 box?
