Xenium Problem
« on: January 20, 2005, 01:43:00 PM »

I recently installed my chip and everything has been working fine, except theother day I cranked up my Xbox and the chip flashed on....then it shut off and restarted again...I was so confused. Anyway, The date on the Xbox had reset itself and so I went and fixed it. Then I was wanting to back up one of my games, when I noticed something...

The FTP wasn't working right! It wasmaking a connection to the Xbox, except when I was trying to transfer it would go SO EXTREMELY LOW and my Xbox would lock up. Someone help please!

Running Evox 3935 M8 BIOS

As far as the FTP being slow, the Xenium OS' FTP capabilities were not made to transfer large files/large numbers of files. Please use Evox's or better yet Avalaunch's FTP capabilities in the future.

I assume this is a solderless install...If it is then sometimes the adapter will make a bad connection with the LPC resulting in a FRAG (flash red and green). You can correct this problem using the "paper trick" or SOLDERING it on

Yeah it is a solderless install...because I don't have any soldering skills  wacko.gif

But you did say I could do a paper trick to fix the problem...so it would be alright to try tightening it in first, and then try the paper trick.

I have been using EvoX's FTP compatabilities to do my transfers, and the locking up is happening while using EvoX. But I will try that when I get a chance. Thanks for the help...

The lock-ups could be a list error on your side. Make sure that within your FTP client that you have basic LIST enabled an nothing more (IE LIST not LIST -al or etc..)
