I'd like to be able to set the time and date without having to boot M$ kernel.

also, that cool LED colour-cycling feature that came in X OS 2.30 only works when you're in Xenium OS - i want to be able to apply it to a BIOS that i might flash to the chip and have it cycle while that particular BIOS is booted.

I posted this, but didnt get a response.  But I also posted late.  I'd like to be able to launch the XOS from quickboot, just like a bios.

you stay in the xos long enough for a screensaver?  (sorry, not a flame, i've just never been in there long enough for it to be "idle")

i also think it would be nice to be able to format your drive through X-OS. you can copy drives, why not format them? then you just FTP stuff over to your drive and you won't need Slayer's, etc if you know what you're doing.

They could say

Of course I don't know if this would work, due to that USB thumbdrives would be formatted with Windows (which I believe is fat32) while Xbox is formatted with FatX, so I don't know if there is a way around that without doing what Avalaunch does (format USB with FatX).

And for you people who might ask

The answer would be that XOS is putting that file on the chip, not on the actual hdd.

But they could easily advertise you could do that with any CDs or DVDs.

Wakeon lan
I don't know if thats possible but I would enjoy that

Faster samba
I takes about 3 minutes to sent over a 5 meg file
Dunno if thats the limit, but it takes me about 2 seconds to ftp

unless you did some major hardware mods WOL is impossible fue to the fact nothing is on when the xbox is off inculding power to the lan

I'd like to see the abilty to type in a HD lock code to unlock the drive from withing XOS, I've got a couple of drives locked with the password "TEAMASSEMBLY" and it would be nice to be able to unlock it from the xbox rather than dissaseblem my pc.

It should be possible shoudn't it?

got so many good looking skins and I was wondering if a 'random skin' feature cud be implemented???

new skin everytime I loaded XOS - now that wud be cool!
