(since I dont know soldering, if I need to get a mod chip, I will get Xenium ICE)..

Sure, Xenium Ice Solderlesss is perfect - it's easy to install and many people can give you support and answer to all your questions if for any reason you ahve troubles (I am 1 of those peoples) BUY Xenium Ice - it's really cool.

About the HDD - i am not really sure about what the problem is - someone else is going to give you the answer - but is not dead

If you have the IDE/power in SECURELY and the hard drive still gives this error..then...time to buy a new one.

I don't understand - they died - why - those fuckers are made to use like that - some people have their computers ON for months and nothing happends - Maybe because the game is inside HDD - anyways - i will send HDD back to store and get a new one. Thanks for the help.

Especially with bigger harddrives, you probably need to do a case mod, leave the case off, or change the speed of your fan to keep your hdd cool.

Mine runs at around 27 degrees Celius most of the time (highest I've ever gotten was 32 degrees celsius)

Mine got good reviews for running cool, so that's why I bought it

Yes, i bought one of those external gans - the one that looks like part of xbox case - but is not that hot in my house so it doesn't work right now.

Elf_Sniper
If you can tell me how to change speed of fan - or give me link to do it - that would be perfect - thanks

Using something like xbtool (get if off xbins) and you can use that to edit your fan temperature by editing your BIOS.

UnleashX and Avalaunch can also do this (I don't know where the option in Avalaunch is, sorry)

EDIT: How hot your house is doesn't really matter. The harddrive produces quite a bit of heat.
