New Hdd Causes All Games To Freeze

Mine does the same thing except that i have a version 1.0 running the M8 bios, i have the M8 & M7 loaded and i get the same results.  The only thing i can think of is that their is some type of key in the original Hard Drive not allowing the games to play (Halo 2).  I am going to try the Configdrive 1.6 next, i have tried to copy the drives with Norton Ghost but it doesnt recognize the drives.  Can the Xenium v1 os be loaded?  i have tried the WD1200JB drive (120gb) and it wouldnt lock, i have a Seagate 40gb and it locked but the games still wouldnt play.  can U put the original hd in and slave a second one and run the games from there?

Try deleting cahe from E:/drive - you can delete by using FTP (ex. SmartFTP) or dashboard (ex. Avalaunch) - don't delete the folder - just delete each file inside CACHE folder - don't worry nothing will happend if you delete the files inside cache - BUT DON"T DELETE CACHE FOLDER, just files inside cache

beerchug.gif  awsome!!!  U all are great, I was just about ready to try NewHDevox1.4, px-hdd13, loaderconfig, slayer, ect.... any thing that might repartion or unlock the hard drive.  Clearing the cache worked, i can play Halo 2 and it doesnt freeze, i am going to copy the game to the drive and try it now. beerchug.gif

Game ran off of hard drive just great.  except that it still wont lock.  any sugestions??

Just put in a new seagate (same model as before) and it fixed the problem, must have just been a bad drive, thanks for all the help.  also one game did continue to lockup until I cleared the cache again so thanks for that suggestion.
