I Installed It Wrong...

Also, when I unplug the d0 connector, the xbox boots fine, with the chip LED turning red.... could it be a faulty chip?  Or could it be a bad d0 connection?

it's most likely somethigs wrong with the chip, but try another wire to connect to d0. if you want, I don't know what else to say.

allholy1, is your MB a version 1.6? If so why don't you buy the LCP board made for the 1.6? You don't have to worry about wires shorting or hooking up to the wrong pad.

solderless isn't so good, they recommend you solder it, why don't you get someone to solder it for you?  there are alot of experienced modders on these forums.

not sure but i suppose so,  soldering isn't hard and it shouldn't cost so much money for someone else to do it for you.

sounds like a bad chip. Flip the switch on the actual chip and see if you get the recovery screen. If you do, then i would suggest burning the xenium OS to a disk and then using it to update the chip. if this doesnt work, then it is possible that you have a dodgy or fake chip. You can get the latest Xenium OS from www.teamxodus.com
