you load the bios and everything should be fine, maybe you need to clarify your problem, unless you fear to load your bios unless you are certain you're not going to mess anything up?

well it should be user friendly and easyto figure out,  once your profile is made, you don't have to restart just select it.  to backup your legal copy of a game you need certain programs there are dvd2xbox which i use and there are complex tools which i rarely use and many others,  those image to your xbox hardrive and you can use an ftp program to ftp the images fromy our hd to the pc through the xbox's dashboard or a certain program.

well try a 256k bios or another bios to see if you change it to 256k  did you try xbtools to edit the bios? some bios's will allow partial editing and full editing and with xbtool you're able to change the size of the bios. (see tutorials for xbtool)

I downloaded Xenium OS 2.0.1 and the only .BIN file is recovery.bin. Is that the one I would use? Thanks

yes, you transfer it to your e drive and use recovery in xenium os and the screen will change, and it should flash the new update just give it some time like 3 - 5 minutes then your xbox will turn off.  turn it on and everything is done.
