While you are looking at the black screen, press and hold the eject button for a few seconds.

This will cause the machine to go into recovery mode.  If you have a version 1.0-1.5 you will get some video on the screen, you will see a pic of the xenium chip.

Then the DVD Tray will pop open.  If you have a 1.6 you will not see the video, but the tray will open.

Close the tray, power down the machine.  Now, turn it on with the power button and you should get the Xenium Ice Menu.

That friggin OS is so shitty when you first install them.  That shouldn't happen to you again unless the bugger is unplugged for a long period of time.

Let me know if that helps.

Open it up and flip the recovery switch...see if that does anything.

It will look to the HD or the DVD drive for the recovery bin file, but when it doesn't find it you'll get a Halt Error.  Just open it up and put the switch back to it's normal position and see if you get anything.

That's really all I can think of.  It probably wouldn't hurt to burn a recovery disk, but see if it works anyway.

Hey, sorry...I didn't see that your Eject LED was flashing green red.  I just thought it was flashing green...sorry.  I have to re-evaluate my thinking...lol.

I have installed tons of Xenium Ice mod chips and 4 out of 5 hang up the first time I try to turn them on.

But the eject light only flashes green.

Check your solderless adapter... it's probably not in right...

I suggest using pinheader, you'll never get the solderles to work for long

ph34r.gif How do you flash the bios with xenium os v2.1 ???   Believe me, I have searched so many times and i still cannot find an answer.

LMAO!

Hehe, it helps to read wink.gif In 2.0.1 there are a gazillion ways to flash a BIOS... I'll list a few here:

1) Network your xbox to a PC and flash by:
A ) Using the HTTP flash feature (Just type the xbox's IP in a web browser to bring up the Xenium OS HTTP page)
B ) Using XOS2's built in FTP to send the BIOS to the xbox's HDD. Then just go to the launch menu in XOS2, choose add item, choose "Flash" and navigate to the BIOS on the HDD.
C ) Using XOS2's built in SMB support to send the BIOS to the xbox's HDD (Just type \\xbox!). Then just go to the launch menu in XOS2, choose add item, choose "Flash" and navigate to the BIOS on the HDD.

2) Burn a CD/DVD with the BIOS on it...Burn the CD, pop it in, and then just go to the launch menu in XOS2, choose add item, choose "Flash" and navigate to the BIOS on D:.

3) Use a USB flash stick/HDD/etc... put the BIOS on the USB device, plug into the xbox... Then just go to the launch menu in XOS2, choose add item, choose "Flash" and navigate to the BIOS on drive letter H:...

How many more ways do you need to flash a BIOS?! cool.gif

what did you do to fix? I just installed mine tonight, it attempts to boot two times, then the third it boots flashing red/green but no video. Sounds similar to your problem.
