If you've got a solid red it is quite often a d0 problem. Check your d0 again. You may have to solder it to an atlernative d0 point.

I had the same problem myself when I first installed my Xenium Ice. I resoldered the d0 and that dixed the problem.

Did you solder the d0 to your chip on the solder pad, or did you use the wiring harness?

I see now it is solderless.  You might want to consider a pinheader install.

hi fred......i bet you are trying this on a 1.6 are you not? when you do this it would be twice as easy if you had a friend who has a older xbox to put the chip in and just flash it there....i have had no luck with the 1.6's that way either...but when i installed in older xbox...bam in less than 3 min problem fixed.....must be some thing in the newer xbox's that fucking the update that's all.....good luck

ummmmm BIG QUESTION THEN!!!!

do i need to flash the chip to get it to go into its OS???

cuz all ive done is put the chip in... it either FRAGS or it goes to the regular dashboard of M$....

do i need to do anything to make the OS come up??

and i am using an Xbox v1.0... its the old one... haha

Ok, if it's fragging, try flipping the recovery switch, see if the recovery screen comes up. If so, then your OS is shot; burn recovery.bin ( www.teamxodus.com ) to some blank media your xbox can read (CD-RW, dvd-r...) and put the disc in. If you don't see the recovery screen and/or it still FRAGs, then your chip isn't installed correctly.

BTW, make sure your HDD/DVD drive are plugged in and the video cable is in the xbox...

Fred did you seat the Xenium on the LPC pins correctly and in the right direction.  And did you make sure you put the dO wire in the right dO hole?  Double check.  Send us a picture of your chip install if possible if your still getting stuck.
