It shouldn't, unless you need to restore your OS..

I only suggested that because when you said it displayed "Loading" and hungmade it sound like your chip is in recovery mode... Provide more details on what you're doing/what your xbox/chip are doing and maybe we can help more.

He is not talking about the OS he is talking about XBMP.
Try Xbox Media Center. I think XBMP is discontinued.
Sounds like you used slayers.
You will need to ftp it yourself.

Umm.. If you have to ask then you should get someone to do it for you.
FTP File transfer protocol.
Connecting to a computer and transferring it that way.

Try getting the latest copy of XBMC.
I had that problem and I think it was the copy I had or the BIOS i used.
