I thought i might add that i have the solderless and ver 1.0. I also cleaned the connections with alcohol

reseat the connections... and if you try holding it with your hand when you turn it on then you dont have it locked down good enough. The other problem is it sounds like your d0 is not hooked up right if it goes directly to your MS dash.

yes it looks like it for a v1.0. I soldered mine in so i dont know if your just letting a wire rest in there. but i know if it acts like if the chip is not there its most likely your D0

Altho I wouldn't suggest a solder gun, they are too powerful.

well i cant get all the solder out of the holes..

Try hitting it from the other side of the board. Make sure to put a little bit of solder on the iron itself it will make the solder flow much better. Putting a little flux on the points will also help.
