There is no other bios. But it sounds like you got it working
Your apps probably disappeared because you used a .6 (partion 6) version (ie "f takes rest of drive" )
if you don't want to have to reformat your f partition, then use a .67 (partition 6+7) version (ie "f is 137GB, g takes rest of drive)
.6 is better than .67 in most situations, unless you have already formated and set up your f partition without LBA48 support.
