Things tricky about what? Install or OS? Cant speak of the OS yet, but the LPC rebuild is not quite what I would consider "easy". There are now 5 D0 size points to solder to instead of 1. That makes it a little harder than normal off the bat.

Second problem I had was the top side D0 seems just a tad bit harder than I remember. Took me a few tries to get it to stick.. but did manage. I have "prepped" 10 1.6's now and 8/10 had top side D0's that seemed just a little more finicky than normal. This may or may not be your problem, but frags and bad D0s go hand in hand.

Also, the very short wire from the pin on the bottom is not much fun. Try holding a piece of wire that small and soldering to 2 points. But still, I would much rather do Xbox's even with the added difficulty rather than PS2 chips. I have done just a few of those and won't do anymore.

I have soldered and resoldered all the wires using d0 on top and d0 on bottom.

Still frags... Are you using the header pin and are inserting all the pins in? (except the one they say not to, of course)

Update: All my soldering was correct, I grounded the LFRAME and now have nothing connected to my Xenium's d0 pad. It all works, minus the fact I cannot switch to TSOP.

Why is it that when I connect the LFRAME to d0 (on chip) that it frags?

They havent been real good on keeping thier word with all the OS2 stuff.
