Well, I pre-ordered my Xenium Ice chip from Modwhiz.com. I've been surfing around these forums for the last couple weeks soaking up info about my xbox and how to hook myself up with a mod chip. This forum is a huge database of very helpful information for anyone who wants to get their xbox modded up.

Anyways, I enjoy the fact that the xbox modding community here is much larger than I ever would have imagined.


I've heard some good things about Modwhiz so I ordered from there. My only question is why I have not received a confirmation e-mail yet, since it says I was going to get one, though I ordered a couple hours ago.

EDIT nvm, got the email, looks like everything is good and ready to go.

Probably, but you'd have to upgrade to OS2 first. (someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

Xenium ICE was upgraded to work with xbox v1.6
So that it can still boot original bios and a hacked bios
d0 on chip can be connected on d0 on xbox 1.0->1.4
or
d0 on chip can be connected on lframe on xbox 1.6

(1.5? dont ask me i havent seen one yet, and will never see )

Component wise the chip remains the same
but the chip in now "escorted" with
wire loom, external spi expansion with RGB led
a usb->xbox adapter, wire loom
and all this at the same price!

So is it safe to say that once the Xenium ICE hits the retailers, XOS2 will be out of beta? After looking through the OzXodus forums, I couldn't find anything relating to "public beta is over, all the bugs are fixed. nothing is wrong. everything is fine."

If they wait for the ICE preoders to get to the New customers before giving us the OS after waitng 5 months I will be very pissed off. dry.gif

And I'm sure I won't be the only one.

I'm not saying that the Ice pre-orders wil get OS2 before they release OS2 publicly, but that they will release OS2 by the time the people who pre-ordered their Ice start receiving them.
If for instance they would have finished OS2 yesterday and release it today, they would probably need 2 days to flash their entire stock of Ice's. Then it would take another day to package them all and send them to their retailers worldwide. Delivery would take about 3 days depending on where they have to go and how they are delivered. Add another day for the retailers to repack the Ice's and send them out. Then another 3 days for the ice's to be delivered to your doormat. By now 10 days have passed with at least 1 sunday, so let''s make it 11. If OS2 was released 11 days ago, how would you think the buyers would react if they stil didn't have their Ice? They would probably cancel their order and buy something else. But if they would wait for their Ice's to at least get to the retailers, nobody would complain.
"Now in stock, Xenium Ice. Released today, Xenium OS2" Think about how that would look like as a headline on your favourite modchip supplier and here on XS.

a few day of frustration, a few inches of solder, 2 unused usb ports and the right diagrams..... and i have a usb port in my controller and on my xbox  tongue.gif

i can see how this will help noobs... but also make them more lazy and useless to the scene... wink.gif

meh... i'm still not impressed..... some people might be impressed with fancy colors but i'm not  laugh.gif

oh now emperorpsiblade is back ! How was disney world biatch ? Gonna start on my sig lol ? Ohh yeah, ordering a pre made xbox usb cable is just lazy. If ya can't do that you shouldn't be on the scene.
