Nothing wrong with your chip. Your bios banks are just empty I'd say.

yeah but red on chip means bad and i've got an Xenium chip which should already be flashed, right???

Ohh and when I turn it on with the chip in the TV just stays the same, like it's not even pluged in to the Xbox.

its flash with a cromwell bios, you need to reflash it with a evox or xecuter bios

Umm, well I didn't check the color on my Xenium when I turn it on. But the Xenium does have a multi colored leds. But actually you see the Xenium OS when you turn it on. Unless you have the chip plugged in the other way around. YES! try that maybe you have the chip around the wrong way.

Yes because your chip should start straight to the Xenium OS if installed correctly. And if you don't have power through lpc points you will boot straight to original bios and the chip won't have any lights.

You can install the chip but there's no support for the xcalibur video encoder just yet.

I wonder why you people dont understand a straight forward
answer and you mess it up in your mind!

Anyway:

There are two ways of disabling the xyclop chip (flash section)
Either u ground Lframe so that mcpx looks on LPC for bios
or
cut the Lframe line
either way xenium will take over and load os
BUT
u need to uprade to OSv2 since v1.1 or v1.0 doesnt support 1.6xbox and its video decoder

I hope this is clear enough!

PS Start reading, or remain a n00b and if in doubt STFU and read some more!

QUOTE (intekcomp @ Jun 17 2004, 11:31 AM)
hey i'm only asking to double check i don't wanna bloody put the thing together and have the thing blow up on me i've read all that shit but it's better to get a second opinion on it before doing it. Plus it's so bloody hard to understand shit on the net these days without getting the wrong information off people. so i'm sorry if i've offended you by not having the vast knowlege you do but these days you have to ask people direct.

Anyway thankyou for your help and i do apreciate it heaps.

Well why are you doing it now anyway. You cant benefit of the xenium anyways before a new release of cracked bios.

So many trying to install xeniums on 1.6 lately. Strange????
