error 4 is problem with ram, I believe.  Did you try doing the 128mb upgrade?  If not, you most likely hit your ram with static electricity.

smile.gif  Can you please reword/rephrase what you said above?  I don't quite understand.  So you DID try a 128mb upgrade?  And what did you say about the hard drive?

I have just installed X-Changer v.2.2 on my xbox 1.6b with hynix ram and im getting the same error i think.....

it says.....

a failedsde error 04...
Unable to read FATX sectoride error 04...
Unable to get first sector, returned 1

Error 04...
Error 04...

It has to be something with the hard drive and mod. Try an old hard drive and format it or buy a cheap new one. I am also going to try.

I forgot to add......some hard drives that MS put out with the xbox's could not be unlocked\locked even with mods.....could also be the prob...
