as i recall, there is a line in the Avalaunch XML where you have to enable the G drive, so take a look at that
also, FWIW, Slayer's AutoInstaller makes it pretty easy to format all or any specific drives you want....(ie. just format G)

Hi
I use the .06 one with lba 48 turned on in xbtool and get no problems using 250gb drives with a large F partition
I tend not to use G drives due to the complications

XOS v1.1 doesnt support drives bigger than 137gigs
Use a bios with LBA48 support
either xec **.06 or patch evox-m7 bios with xbtool (to take F rest of space)
there are some decent tutorials in how to format a new hard disk!

Hold on, just re-read this.
I have to have Xenium OS installed right? I can't get rid of it can I? I use Xenium OS to upload X2 bios's or whatever, and then I can boot these uploaded bios's from its menu system, its quickstart/instantboot.
Am I even on the right track?

Ou you are a bit of thrack!
You need all OS / bios / and dashboard
OS is needed to be able to start a mod up, flash biosses and do small other prosesses.
Bios need to be flashed to mod so unsigned apps can be started.
Dashboard need to be is intalled to HD to be able to upload bios files (ftp support) and start applications / games
Old version OS is installed alleady at factory.
At initial state mod have to be flashed with bios from CD cause not ftp support available yet.
But all this you have allready on your xbox according to your writing.
Note:
New xos is about to be released soon.
Hopefully the new OS supports drives bigger than 137gigs.

Just got one more question to ask
If I boot up my Xenium, goto the Xenium OSv1.1, and choose the tope bios "Original Bios", and it happily boots into the MS Dash, and the Xenium Chip light turns off, does that mean the chip if disabled and I can play on Live? My Hdd is locked already. If this doesn't turn the chip off, how do I?
Thanks again for everything.
The mod actually never get switched off, the trick is just to load the Original MS Bios.
Live only bannes you if you use other than original bios.

Longer than the other drives, but less than a minute. If it takes longer than that then something must be wrong.
