You could go bigger, but I wouldn't recomend it.
The larger the wire the higher the risk you run of ripping the D0 off.
Deff wouldn,t recomend it for the top side D0.

If you can't find a small enough gauge wire, you could always file/sand down one end of the wire that goes into the d0.
