Mine didn't reboot on its own, but the upgrade took.  Let it sit for a while, then force it to reboot.  It should be okay.

Sometimes i have found that the "software" restore doesnt work, when in that situation simply flick the chip switch into restore mode and try again

Dont forget to flick it back

Oh and one last thing - even if your machine doesnt reboot on its own, I find it best to leave it for about 2mins to be on the safe side before switching it off

Disregard the fact that the Xenium O.S. is supposed to shut off the xbox after the recovery is finished.  Not 1 box that I have modded (NTSC) has shutdown after the recovery update.  On that note.  During recovery the Xenium led is green. Do not shutdown the xbox manually after it says 'Got from CD' until you see the Xenium led change to a different green.  You need to wait about another 30 seconds after the 'Got from CD' for this to happen.  If you manually shutdown before this second colour change the update will be fuxOr'D.  I am certain that the team is aware of the shutdown after recovery issue.   Like I said the consoles I work on are NTSC and maybe the shutdown works properly on PAL machines.  I know that Fujitech on irc claims all his machines shutdown after recovery.

i waited until the led turned a dif color green and I am getting the same prob.  The xodus screen comes up and it reboots 3 times.  now the one time my chip was working, is it possble that I set it to auto start or whatever that is?  can i bypass it and get the menu?

I think you are not pressing the white button and it is trying to load a BIOS that is probably corrupt or empty bank and therefore, it frags!  wink.gif
