What Could Be Wrong With My Xenium
« on: April 17, 2004, 04:16:00 AM »

I got my Xenium this morning (it's genuine, I checked, double-checked and triple-checked) and I got my solderless adapter in and I put in my Xenium and put the d0 connector into the d0. Now when I switch the Xenium off with that switch on it, the XBOX boots up fine to the MS Dash, but when I switch it on, it FRAGs. Now I did a search and all and I'm pretty sure the d0 is correctly alligned, as when I take the wire out of the d0, it boots up fine to the ms dash, so I was wondering what the problem could be. It can't be a bad flash on my behalf, as I only just got it this morning.
TIA to anyone who could shed some light on this.

I was under the impression that the switch was for installing/re-installing the Xenium OS. The switch should always be over the 'white' mark.

Just by chance, you did flash a bios right?

Yes thats true.

Ok then lets go back some...

Does the Xenium LEDs light up at all? Which might prove its getting power and somewhat working.

Does the v1.4 Crystal need alternate 3.3v power? I dunno really, normal v1.4's dont.

well I haven't fixed it yet, but I've ordered one of those mobo repair kits, but I was about to order a brand new mobo, without trying anything, but now I might as well give this a go.
