you can try, you have nothing to lose... i dont think that will make any difference though. You can try that with the dummy files a told you. Good Luck.

Hey I had this same problem trying to flash my first bios. I would get the same "Bios is not correctly sized" error you got, and also sometimes an error that says it can't read the bios. But there was in fact nothing wrong with my disc or the bios on it, it was just that my drive wasn't reading the disc very well. So all I had to do was temporarily use my pc's dvd rom drive instead of the xbox's drive and it worked right away.

So just because it says "not properly sized", that isn't necesarily true.

If you use your pc dvd rom drive, make sure you set it to the right setting (slave?), and leave the yellow cable plugged into your original xbox drive. The only other thing you'll need is a power splitter to split the power that normally goes to your HDD so that it powers both the HDD and the PC dvd drive.

For what do you need a power splitter?? The method JoePoe mentioned doesnt require any kind of tool, just a bit of knowledge.

i had the same problem. try flashing it to a different bank or re sisze ur banks to 256k again.
