I just used it on my xbox and it reported back i have an original xenium, which is true.

Not had a chance yet.
I reckon they shouldn't have included the source code though, just released the XBE file.  Showing how it works shows cloners how to fool it.

well, you have people that say, "how you know its not a scam by the cloners that'll report back all xeniums fake or geniune as being genuine" (said in #ozxodus shortly after the apps release)  Anyone can check the source themselves.

This doesnt really help if they are going to try weeding out the fakes.

If it was 100% accurate they could at least make it harder for fakes to install the latest XOS. Heh, Id like to see that day when 1000 posts come flooding in "I cant install latest XOS! WTF!"

I think the tool is a valiant effort.. but I suspect it's usefullness might be short lived.

At this moment.. I recommend no one use this tool until some more checks on it can be made.

OZXodus did not release this tool.. and they have indicated to me that it might be a trojan or something malicious...  I'll report back if I have anything more concrete to say...

Could this be a trojan by a rival team or the cloners that is designed to trick us into beliveing the clones are real?  ph34r.gif

I used it already too.  Oh well.  The Xenium apparently still works fine, and I don't much care about the contents of my Xbox hard drive at the moment.
