You can leave the motherboard in the case; the solderless adapter sits ontop of the motherboard.

I just wanted to make sure bc its a bitch to take out the motherboard to turn off the chip everytime i wanna play XBOX live

It's just as easy to take out the chip using the pinheader install method as it is the solderless option (minus the d0, unless you have the plug wire).

You don't need to take the chip out to play Xbox Live! man, all you need to do is make sure that your hardrive is locked and select the origional bios from the XeniumOS, and you will be fine.
