What Type Of A Drive Is A Tgm600?
« on: March 22, 2004, 12:31:00 PM »

Sounds like the craptastic Thomson drive.
Try Memorex brand cd-rw, they work for me. That or swap it out with your drive, or a pc DVD rom drive. At least long enough to flash it and what not, then you can just ftp stuff to it once its set up.
Be sure to do a search on the forum or google before posting questions like this tho =P

After it's flashed with what, exactly?  I didn't know there were any updated Thomson DVD firmwares floating around.

Why not use DVD-R?  I've only come across two drives that didn't like Ritek G04 DVD-R, and both of those were Philips 6035 drives.
