Just Ordered A Real Xenium
« on: March 18, 2004, 12:52:00 PM »

biggrin.gif Ok well after a few days of research here I have went with the Xenium With Chameleon Solderless Adapter. I dont own any soldering tools and although I'm sure I could have done it, I didnt want to pay for those things... So I ordered from the www.divineo.com site and now I just gotta read up on fully understanding the install procedure. I'll keep you posted on how it goes! Any advise would be great!

biggrin.gif Oh and when my chip arrived, the solderless adapter was connected to a peanut that came with the shipping. Just something to keep in mind ohmy.gif

rolleyes.gif  Boo-urns to that.

If it wasn't for the fact that the company I bought my 120GB Seagate drive from hasn't received it yet, then I'd be more pissed than I am.  Patience is a virtue... or something.

Oh well... seeing as this is my first mod EVER, this gives me more time to do more research.  I am now wishing I didn't shell out the extra dough for a chameleon... sad.gif

Oh well... Ninja Gaiden will keep me busy!   ph34r.gif

QUOTE (DrSteve_ @ Mar 19 2004, 12:21 AM)
Hey I meet someone almost in the same boat as me... What does this mean? "My chameleon adapter is genuinely broken" ?

Why do you regret buying it, I too just bought one should I cancel the order?

Can I use this chip even without a new HD? (Cash restraints)

THX! dry.gif

He means that his adapter broke for some reason

DOnt cancel it, I bought a Xenium with solderless adapter and all is good (seems a little flimsy but works as it should)

I am using mine with the stock hard drive

The solderless chameleon adapter doesn't work with Xbox 1.5 does it?  Do you have to do any soldering at all, what about the d0 stuff?

grr.gif !!!!!!!! dry.gif ....anyways...

You will have to apend the money to get soldering tools no matter what. Oh yeah.. if you go with the cham. adpter, and it falls off... or you are using tape to secure your d0... and either of them get disconnected while flashing your chip, good luck getting your chip fixed jester.gif !
