In a nutshell, will I have the ability to disable to chip if I use the solderless adapter (I read on some chips that you need certain points/wires soldered to use features, correct me if im wrong).

well as we all know there is no TRUE solderless adapter.... you will still have to solder the DO wire and posibly a few more depending on the verof xbox you have..... but in all the chip still functions the same wether you do a quick solder on not

Solderless adapter, pinheader, and quick solder.... all will allow you to disable the chip. Disable it by booting to Xenium Screen (v1.0: press white button on controller at bootup, V1.1: While xbox is off press Eject button) and choosing "original bios" this disables the chip and allows you to play XBL with no problems..
