QUOTE (introvenus @ Mar 11 2004, 12:38 PM)
then the led goes off but power stays on?!?!

I get no video output, the HD and the DVD drive are both disconnected.  The led on the xenium stays solid red.  This happens whether I boot from power or eject.  If I remove the xenium then the XBox boots just fine to the MS dash.

I'm using the pinheader for the install ... is the problem with the pinheader or the chip?  Anybody any idea which pins in particular?

you have to have hard drive connected or at least dvd i'm not sure why. But for me when they were unplugged it didn't work. But the cords are long enough that you should just keep them plugged up. But thats probably one of your problems

huh.gif . So if you are using anything besides the cables that came with the Xbox, I would suggest hooking it up with those then flashing with the new os and then trying with your other video kit, if that doesn't work, try joining the OzXodus irc channel, they might be able to help you out.
