Does anything at all come up on the TV?  What happens if you hold down the white button upon boot?

if you put it on the adapter backwards and turned on your xbox then it would be a very bad thing. it could possibly burn up some of the parts on the chip. did you actually put it on there backwards?

maybe there's still hope?

once you got your lpc and d0 and chip positioned correctly, if it still frags try the recovery switch...?

I have the solderless adaptor, and gota quick question. I've looked at the docs for installing with the rivets. The pics aparently show a rivet in the D0 point, where the thin wire contacts the D0. But the Doc doesn't mention this step. I haven't cracked my box yet. But, dang that wire going from the adapter is tiny! Does a rivet go in the D0 point?

in my opinion the v1.0 motherboard is better off without the solder removed from the lpc, the spiked pogo pins make a great contact.

i have the same problem. its all installed good. a friend told me a red LED was bad so i reseated teh chip and tried again now the LED is off totally but nothing boots D:
