Xenium And 160gb?
« on: March 02, 2004, 08:53:00 AM »

Alright, got a quick one here.. I just modded my 1.1 with a xenium and a maxtor 160gb and everything works great except I cant get the LBA48 support working.. I have evox 3595 installed using X-disk and I cant get it to go no matter what I try... the Xenium os shows that theres a 137gb installed...Theres no G drive and I cant set it up to format it anywhere. Is it possible to fix this without reloading all my stuff? I havent set up the FTP yet and I thought that X-disk would automatically set it up.. but it doesnt look like a software issue, just the bios .. id love to take advantage of the full 160. Any help would be appreciated.

you need to enable the feature in the bios by editing it with xbtool

wink.gif ) Make sure your bios has been edited with xbtool to either send remaining space after 137 to g, if you want that , or to send all remaining space to f, which is what most peopel use.

I added my 160 maxtor last night using slayers to make the f and g partitions just incase also. Worked great and just had to get unleashx to see g.

I've tried X-disk a million times.. I cant find anything, Is there a way to use slayers then (never used it) without formatting my F:? Id hate to load all the stuff back there again...

With slayers you can format any partition you want. Like just g or f.  I think thats what you want to know.
