The Xenium boots just fine into it's 1.0 OS and I can configure the banks and get everything started just fine.

However, when I try to flash the BIOS from the CD it says that it cannot read the CD in the drive.  I used a known good BIOS CD as this is the 4th mod I've done and the 3rd Xenium.  His DVD drive was a phillips so I took apart my XBox and used my Samsung which I know would read the media as I've used it there...same thing.

I figured I'd try an OS update then so I downloaded the CD image from the OzXodus site and burned it to the same brand media (Memorex CD-RW) that I know my Samsung drive would read.  When I booted into recovery mode with that CD in there I could hear the drive seaking for about 2-3 minutes.   The LED on the XBox FRAGed until it was through seeking then turned Red and stayed that way.  The LED on the BIOS was blue but it seemed like it was lit up Red too if I looked real close.

Anyway, I don't have a multimeter but with a magnifying glass all the solder connections look good.  

If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears.

did you name the bios "BIOS.BIN" and add a dummy file?

You could replace your Xbox dvd drive with your PC one for a one time only thing

how did u use the lite0on drive in ur xbox?? im having the same problem? anyhelp would be appreciated

File has to be named BIOS.BIN
