Burn Bios.bin On Dvd?
« on: February 27, 2004, 05:38:00 PM »

Well, my Thompson drive does not read any cd media, tried just about all.  trying to flash bank 1, and get the 'unable to read BIOS from CD' error.

Can I burn this file on DVD?  If so, do I burn as a Data disk, and ISO, or ????

Thanks, just trying to get X2 and M7 on my newly installed Xenium.

Tried cleaning the CD drive?

Didi you remember to include a couple of large (padding) files on that disc?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to everyone.

I just burned the 256k Bios as a 'data' file on a DVD+R/W, and it read it fine.

Thanks everyone for the help.

......as a newbie, i understand all the answers are out there, but not compiled in a "answer all" version- there are too many variables with all the different chips, console/hardware versions, etc.

Yeah i guess you're right. It's just that i've followed coutless tuts and although i did burn my bios cd with nero i couldnt  get evo-x or slayers to work after using nero. But switching over to roxio and literally hitting three buttons i was on my way, and it wasn't dvd drive b/c i was using pc dvd drive at the time.

I Have Nero 6 and Roxio Easy Cd/DvD creator 6 and I think Roxio has a pretty slick interface and works pretty good for most of your burning needs but Nero is better at burning disk images and gives you more options in that area.
