ok...here isa the deal, in O.S. 1.1 they put a new option in, called Instant boot™

Instant boot: what it does is supercharge your Xenium O.S. to just load up whatever you choose as your default bios...so, when I press the POWER button, it boots to Evoxm7(what I chose to be my default bios)

Instant boot:AS I stated before, if you press the POWER button, it WILL boot your selected bios, but what iuf you press the EJECT button, then it boots your Xenium O.S. so chances are you have Original Bios selected as your bios, because that is why when you press power it boots Original Bios, and dashboard..... So, press EJECt, then go to setting/configuration, and then change your default bios to something else I.E. Evoxm7

QUICK BOOT: Having quick boot on will bring up the controller screen so you have to press the white button on your controller, having quick boot off, will makie it so you don't have to press white button......glad to help you, damn, this is a long post...

You might have it set to load a bank that there is nothing on. Go into configuration and settings and click on default bios, until original bios appears. Then save and exit. When you turn off ur xbox, and turn it on using the power button. U should see the xbox dash.
