2. Xenium Will not boot with two controllers - Mine does! Maybe your using a wierd cheap tacky controller cos you were too scabby to buy a official one.

Well as much as i agree with most of what you said, you're wrong on point number 2 that you made. It will boot with 2 controllers, only if they are both plugged into ports 1 and 2. You go plug them in 1 and 3, or 1 and 4 and it wont boot (Read This)  wink.gif  But other than that the rest of what you said just about hit the mark  smile.gif

agree with you 100% Xenium is my first chip also and i couldnt have asked for more!! Hats off to the guys over at xenium for making such a wounderful chip. The only problem im having is booting with non M$ controllers but its cool b/c everyone should have at least 1 M$ controller.

To the paragraph above mine boots with controllers 1 and 3 , 1 and 4, just doesnt with non M$ controllers plugged in alone. Other people dont realize this, but look at how many different combinations of problems there are it would be impossible to test it fully before they sent it. Im not saying that they didnt rush it out only they know if they should have kept it longer or not, but imo i wouldnt buy another chip so far (counting mine) ive chipped 3 xboxes w/ xeniums and they will have my bussiness for every modchip i put in!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BOYS!!

So why does mine boot just fine with a wireless controler in port 1 and a MS controller in port 4?

1. Xenium Will not boot with Controller S - I dont know where this came from, but I've noticed a few people posting this.. Firstly, it will boot with the controller S, at least mine does, infact the picture that comes up at the beginning is a controller s, so it would be pretty silly if it couldnt boot with one in. Although I havent tried it with third party contollers, and it wont boot without a controller in.

hey great post. sum'd up a lot for us loyal+happy xenium users.

The Controller S is currently the only controller that the Xenium is able to recognize properly to boot.

The OzXodus team has announced an OS update "really REAlly soon" (as they announce in their IRC room topic) and they also said that 3rd party controllers should be covered in the update. But don't get your hopes up.

Try reading the link called Read This. If after you've read it and you claim you can still do what hundreds of others cant, then you're just special  wink.gif

i would agree with most of what you said, except for the quote above....i should be able to use ANY controller/remote that i want, not just M$ stuff ( i know a fix is in the works, i just think "blaming" the user for not using M$ is lame)

if you support M$ so much, why are you modding their Holy XBox?   tongue.gif

I dont support M$, I just think the use of non-official controllers is silly!! I mean seriously if anyone ever brought a non-official controllers theres _always_ the arguement about

'I lost cos I wasnt using the good controller'

seriously. the amount of fights over mariocart we've had cos we only had one official controller you wont believe.

lol. sorry bit off topic there.

But thanks for all commenting on my post, I'm sorry I didnt get all the details right I did as much research as I could, I'll try out the controller thing tonight anyway and get back to everyone.
