you all are making me worried.

I just order 10pcs of the Xenium chip.


dont know whether it comes with the updated bios.

should hold the shipment and wait for the next batch?

That dumb shit doesn't know what he has.  I've read alot about what's involved with other cheap mods, having to take you box apart and move dip switches to configure banks, installing fucking switches etc., WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS!  All I gotta do with the Xenium is touch a button on the controller to boot with the orignial bios or my homebrew bios.  Now that's convience!  You can set the thing to default to the original OR homebrew bios.  What the fuck is that guy talking about?  It doesn't matter if you have the two controller problem if you got the chip set to the default bios of your choosing.  It'll boot to your choice without touching a button.  You can EVEN set the boot timeout from 0 to 30 seconds.  What more could you want?  This chip is nothing but convience laid in your lap!

As far as all this talk that OzXodus should have some kind of million dollar operational facility for help for stupid fucks, I think that's way out of line.  Look man, this is hack fucking central.  You're not gonna find these chips down at Circuit City or Comp USA.  It's assumed by OzXodus that anyone taking on the matter of modding out their Xbox has some kind semi intellegent understanding of the undertaking at hand and a general conceivement of the sphere from which this product and all the homebrew software that the chip will run on comes from.

I don't care what anyone says, you gotta be some kind of fricken looser not to appreciate the convience of this chip.  Xenium ROCKS!

About the XOS though, its built on cromwell, and I have been told that the source code will be released with the next update.  This will make for an interesting situation, as XOS is what is really being sold.  If you take the XOS out of the chip, there is nothing that sets this chip apart from any other.  I can only assume the smartxx team will do the same, which would be nice for the end users, but might hurt business as features from one 'OS' can be incorporated into other(s).

In any event, I would imagine that changing the boot logo wouldnt be too much trouble smile.gif

That is usually what happens to early adopters. If you are looking for something more mature and stable, I would not use a chip that has only been out a few weeks.

That is actually some of the best advice I've seen written anywhere on this site.. and in reference to anything new.

Being an early adopter.. means accepting less than steller products sometimes.. and the quirks they may still have.

The Chip boot WOW!!! BEHOLD THE 4TH Generation HAS ARRIVED!!!!!

The manual and the on screen instruction is superd.

Flash is with X2 bios in bank 1 256k.

Boot bank 1

loaded slayer

copied x2 fc +137 to hdd

restart

Oz blank set to 1mb (love this function)

reflash to FC +137 1mb

installed maxtor 250gb.

This truely is 4th generation.
think i am going to dump my X2 and install the Xenium.

anway i tried booting with my wireless , GUESS WHAT crayZEE,
NO PROBLEM, think you better change your wireless.

Wish list.

there is more instrution on the Linux Boot.
