« on: January 30, 2004, 11:18:00 AM »

im pretty much a n00b to the feature on the Xenium where you can search your HDD for a new BIOS to flash. so would it work if i booted up the MechAssault Xploit for Temp EvoX and put the BIOS.BIN file somewhere ( WHERE???) on the HDD and then go to the XeniumOS and search HDD for BIOS. then would it flash? or am i wrong?

try this it worx.......make your custom bios file or use the m7 and modify it.....rename it to bios.bin................then burn it to a cd-r or a cd-rw....but make sure no other files are on the disc...just pop it in and select the d:bios.bin option on the xenium os

if you have a modchip in why bother using an exploit, either use slayers, or make a evo-x boot disc, and ftp and copy the BIOS that way.

This is what I don't like to see.  Someone says use slayers, but they obviously don't know the xenium or what they are talking about.  The person need to get a bios flashed onto the chip, SO THEY CANT USE SLAYERS UNTIL THEY GET THE BIOS LOADED.  This is like the forth thread that I have seen someone say "just use slayers dude" with no explanation, and just pure ignorance toward the setup of the xenium.

P.S. for the person that started the thread.   Don't use a CD-R cause the box won't read it and from personal experience don't put the bios in a Iso form because the xenium will say it is in the wrong form/filesize.  Use a CD-RW/dvd's  either or to put a bios on a disc and also use dummy file to make the disc size bigger (name some bigger file aaa.aaa)  One last thing make sure that you burn single session and non-joliet for the Cd-Rw's.

Thats all, Happy modding and please if you don't know what you are talking about just don't post nonsense and non-explanations to someone who is obviously confused.

message back if you need more help man.
