Xenium OS boots normally, but won't flash any bios.bin file.
I pack the bin with xISO, burn to CDRW but no matter what bios size I choose on the Xenium it just comes up with "Bios is not properly sized!" That's it, that's as far as I can get. Also of note, I have tried Slayer boot disk, but can get it to load either.

You should not put the bios in an xISO - just burn it like you would a normal file directly to a CDR/W, and add a large dummy file (200mb+, name it aaa.aaa). Have you set the Xenium to 4x256kb (you should use a standard 256kb 'bios.bin' on the CD) and selected the destination bank?

Slayers (ie Evox) won't work without an X2 or EvoX bios, so that won't work yet.

Also try a larger dummy file (500mb), different CD brand etc. A lot of people seem to be having this freeze problem when tyring to flash the Xenium. Some have just persevered and got it to work on the 30th attempt, others are still trying...

to create Bios.bin CD
just select no multisession (nero), ISO Level 1, Format 1, ISO 9660 and deselect Joliet
now write the cdrw with finalize cd and disc-at-once/96
don't forget the dummy file

now i can flash my xenium from cd

heres how i flashed my xenium.....i put a 256k bios.bin on a cd-rw just a regular burn from windows xp and poped it in...no special requirments as the xenium chips seems to read all forms of media just fine..excvept GC but you know DUH

vgi forum is migrating to a new server... hopefully a better server...
