Hi, I'm sorry for asking such a dumb question.....But could somebody please explain to me what flux is, and how to use it???
I always hear people saying to use flux when you solder, but I don't know what exactly it is, or how to use it......or how it works.....
All I know is, that it is a vaseline type of compound, but other then that, I wouldn't know the first thing to do if I had it.....please explain...

it helps the solder flow into the solder point....all u do is just take a lil and put it onto the point then apply a lil heat to it so it melts then apply the solder...it makes soldering alot easyier....and this should be posted in the noob forum
